Websites Built with Java

We have not detected websites built with Java yet. Our detection engine continuously scans new websites. Once sites using this technology are discovered they will appear here automatically.

About Java

Java runs server-side applications on servlet containers and application servers (Tomcat, Jetty, WildFly) and through frameworks such as Spring Boot. It is common in enterprise, banking and public-sector sites. Detection relies on server banners, the JSESSIONID cookie and .jsp links.

  • Server banners such as Apache-Coyote, Tomcat or Jetty
  • `JSESSIONID` session cookie
  • Relative .jsp links
  • Implied by a detected Spring Boot application
  • A stack fact only — neutral on authorship

How We Detect Java

Our scanner identifies Java usage through the following signals:

  • HTTP response headers: server containing "Apache-Coyote|Apache Tomcat|Jetty|WildFly|GlassFish|Payara|Undertow|WebLogic|WebSphere|Resin"; x-powered-by containing "Servlet|JSP|JSF|JBoss|Tomcat|Jetty" (high-confidence tier)
  • Cookies named like "JSESSIONID" (medium-confidence tier)
  • Signal weights for Java: 85 points per high-tier match, 55 per medium, 25 per low — a site needs 60+ points before Java is reported.
