Capacitor is a native mobile app runtime that wraps an existing web app in a native shell, giving it access to device APIs (camera, filesystem, push notifications) while still being built with standard web technology. AIWebsiteDetector identifies Capacitor apps through the `window.Capacitor` bridge object its native runtime injects into the page — present only when a web app is actually running inside Capacitor's native wrapper, not when the same code is loaded in an ordinary browser.
